Our Life at Sea

Most of the feedback we get from this blog has been really positive and supporting. But alas, you can’t please everyone! To those very few that find issues with some of these postings let me say this, we are only human and humans are far from perfect. One must remember we spend weeks if not longer aboard our ship, away from our friends and family. We have been doing this for quite some time. Try it yourself sometime, you’ll see what it’s like being aboard ship away from home. Some of this blog is about our free time aboard the ship….what the crew does for fun and to have a little excitement in this high tense environment.
Sure, some of it is childish, some dangerous but it sure isn’t hurting anyone. When it’s time to do our job the crew is there and ready to do whatever it takes to get things done. Remember the aid trip to Haiti through the worst storms of the century, or the recovery of the multimillion dollar AUV another company lost and we recovered, or the other many situations where the team at Sea Hunters came through with flying colors??? That’s the professional team in action, when action is needed.
So to close, maybe we shouldn’t be telling these stories….maybe we should be like the rest of corporate America, maybe we should quit and seek our fortunes elsewhere. No, I don’t think so. This is a unique business, with unique people, doing a unique job recovering a unique cargo…..
